What’s it like to work here?
The Finance team are a busy and very friendly group of people and you would have direct support within the Transactions Processing team.
We’ve moved to hybrid working combining working from home and days at our office base in Kendal. You’ll be provided with a laptop to enable you to access our secure IT network when working remotely.
Flexi-time will apply to the post allowing you to plan your working day around other commitments and hybrid working would apply, allowing a significant element of home working.

The role
Finance Assistants are a key part of our team, ensuring that suppliers get paid and income from customers is collected. Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
To process payment transactions, including:
• efficient and accurate input of invoices, including any VAT;
• handling supplier and budget holder queries relating to payments;
• processing payments

To process income transactions including:
• Raising sales ledger invoices
• Monitoring aged debt and initiate appropriate recovery action where necessary
• Post income to the ledger from income to the bank

About you
An accounting qualification is not necessary and there is the possibility of support towards completing an AAT qualification in the future.
Confidence with numeric information and familiarity with the main Microsoft IT packages (excel and word) would be an advantage.
This opportunity would suit someone who has good attention to detail, is well organised with a focus on good customer service.
