29.6 hours (4 days) per week, fixed term until 31 October 2026
We’re looking for a Car Park Enforcement Officer who is passionate about creating outstanding visitor experiences in one of the most beautiful and iconic areas of the UK. We manage 40 car parks throughout the National Park stretching from Buttermere to Windermere and Ravenglass to Glenridding.
You will work flexibly on a fixed term basis up to the end of October 2026 for an average of 4 days per week between 8.30am and 6pm, which will include some weekend and bank holiday working.

The Car Parks team operate from our Coniston Boating Centre office, responsible for the Authority’s car parking operations, parking enforcement, public facilities and visitor management operations.
The role
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
• Monitoring our car parks and reporting any technical issues
• Assisting visitors where to park, and how to pay
• Ensuring parking machines are working
• Tidy and litter picking
• Car Park Enforcement
